Certain as the sun, rising in the East.
I'm Just thinking, I'm facing west in bed (partially in bed anyway) and there's a gap in my curtains so I can see the trees and part of the horizon to the west, so dawn, coming from the east, will have to reach the west side of the horizon, or at least be slightly west of my window, for me to see it, so does that mean it has to make a full circle for me to see it? I'm not sure where I was going with this line of thought, I just thought it was an interesting observation.
